My main reason for starting this blog was to make sure that I document the details of our life rather than rely on my sub-par memory. These are just a few of the cute J traits that I never want to forget.
  • How his bath time includes “splash, splash, splash in the bath, bath, bath,” drinking the water and singing the Elmo song with the Elmo towel.
  • How when I pick him up he will lean up against me and sometime tuck his arms under his body.
  • How he yells out “ta da!” or “I deed it!” when he has accomplished something that he feels is especially noteworthy.
  • How he calls any of my drinks that are dark “coffeeeeee” – it doesn’t matter if it’s tea or Diet Dr. Pepper.  They are all “Mommy’s coffeeeee."
  •  How much he likes Curious George.  That boy loves him some mischievous “monkeeeey.”
  • How he grooves to the Chicken Dance and just about any kind of music.  Dance, dance, dance.
  • How he rocks on his feet with his hands behind his back, pushing out his belly.  It is the cutest thing.
  • How much he loves CORN and CAKE.  The kid comes running if anyone utters either of the “c” words.
  • How he imitates Papaw by opening his mouth wide, tapping on it with his palm and making "ah, ah, ah" sounds.
  • How he puts his hands behind his head when he’s in his car seat and how he did something similar when he was nursing as a baby.
  • How excited he is when he wakes up in the morning and comes running at me in his footed pajama glory to give me a hug and a few moments of cuddling.   That morning cuddle is the highlight of my day.
Man, I love that kid so much.  I knew I would as soon as I saw him, but wow.
