Twick or Tweet!

We just returned from a successful night of trick or treating, or as the kids called it "twick or tweetin."  After much deliberation and numerous costume changes, J was Captain America and V was a duckie.  For the daycare party on Friday, J insisted on being V's duck, so we weren't sure what we would end up with by Halloween.  V, on the other hand, wanted no part of any costume.  It required a Kit Kat bribe just to get her to put on the top of the duck costume.

Grammy and Papa joined us, which was really nice for us and them.  One of the houses we stopped at had an animated skull candy bowl that fascinated J.  He must have made the thing go off 6 times and giggled with glee to the delight of the bowl owners and us. V eventually got the hang of the trick or treating process about halfway through - at first, she was trying to give the candy in her bucket to people.  So good at sharing, that one.

Once their buckets had a dozen or so pieces, we convinced them to dump them into a large bag we brought along.  Well, from there on, J insisted that his bucket was "so heavy" after every house, even though he only had two or three pieces.  It was hilarious. Once J thinks there is a process for something, he is obsessed with completing it - future engineer in the making.

When we finally headed home in the wagon, J squeezed the bill on V's duck costume and screamed "quack!  quack!" over and over again.  V loved it and it was a hilarious way to end a good night.
