Bunny Hop

We celebrated Easter this year a week late to accommodate moving Marc's grandfather from Cleveland to  Wilmington.  It worked out well, though, because we didn't have C on Easter this year and it allowed us to get the play structure finished before the festivities.

The kids had a great time coloring eggs, but it took J awhile to get the concept that you didn't eat them as you colored them.  Thankfully, V was entertained by playing with some plastic eggs and spoons, as getting the egg dye off of J was hard enough,
The Easter Bunny brought the kids some good loot, including a bike for C and a dusting off of C's old tricycle for J.  C's bike was hidden in the garage and he walked right past it out to excitedly proclaim that the patio table, which M and I had purchased the night before, was what the bunny had brought.  It was pretty darn cute.

Cousins D and N were both able to join us for the Easter celebration, which made the day all the more special to have all the Harmeyer-side grandkids there for Papaw to entertain. The egg hunt was a blast and C, J and Cousin D ran around in a candy-crazed frenzy for quite awhile after.  Cousin K, of course, took some wonderful pics of the kids before they destroyed their outfits.  Thanks, K!

I went a little overboard on the Easter theme, with bunny bread, bunny cheese ball, and basket cupcakes, but I loved trying to make it extra special for the kiddos (and give a good laugh to the adults).
